Hello, my name is James.

 

I am a passionate and dedicated student of the multimedia production world, with the goal of producing content in the broadcasdting industry. I have always been fascinated by the everyday impact that media holds in proliferating information shaping the viewpoints of their audience, and my education at Central Michigan University has provided me with the tools to be able to immediately help any potential employer catch the attention of their audience.

 

In my time at Central Michigan University, my educational and extracurricular opportunities have helped me to accomplish the following:

• Co-host on an award-winning radio show for two years ("Wired In The Morning," BCA Department's "People's Choice for Best Radio Show"). 

• Participate in multiple film competitions in various capacities, with writing credit for an award-winning film ("New Pond," won best actor, nominated multiple times).

• Attain performance, reporting, writing, pre-production, production, and post-production skills through relevant coursework and extra-curriculars.

• Refine public relations skills through volunteerism at the Birmingham Urban League

• Create and keep a steady social media presence through previous experience with Hustle Belt and Today's U.

• Conduct undergraduate research in video journalism and cable news reporting trends, as well as social media trends in college recruitment, and media coverage of Washington politics.

• Attain a bachelor of applied arts degree in broadcast and cinematic arts with a minor in political science.
